A great way to update and refresh your wardrobe is to purchase a few layering pieces in the season's hottest colors and pair them with basics that you already own. Blazers, light pullover sweaters and cardigans in punchy colors all work well to make older items at the back of your closet feel new again. I purchased a rich burgundy colored cardigan from Burlington Coat Factory for only $14.99 at the beginning of this fall. It has served me well in mixing and matching with everything from dresses to jeans. For this look I paired the cardigan with a 3/4 sleeve print shirt, gray ponte pants, and RSVP deep red boots; all of which I have owned for years. I completed this look with a knot statement necklace and chandelier earrings.
