Get the Look: Peplum & Patterned Pants

Forgive me for not posting for awhile now. I was in Orlando celebrating my anniversary!  Despite the yucky weather, my husband and I had a great time hitting the theme parks.  I wish I had pics of me wearing fabulous yet functional theme park fashion but most of the time it was raining; so my huge Universal Studios poncho probably wouldn't be considered "Primadonna Style". ;) (I did buy some cute spiked wedge sneakers for the trip that I didn't get a chance to wear, so I will have to make sure to do a post on that trend.)

Today, I'm rocking a brush stroke patterned pant that looks somewhat zebra-ish. I ordered them from the Calvin Klein website during their Friends and Family Sale. Though they listed the back pockets in the description of the pants, side pockets weren't mentioned. I like to avoid side pockets when possible because they tend to fall at the widest part of my hip and gap open which makes for an awkward fit. Sure enough, that was an issue with these pants.

Primadonna Tip: A quick fix solution was to use hem tape to seal the side pockets shut. Problem solved! Perfect Fit!

When wearing a printed pant, keep everything else simple. A black peplum top, black heels, and a layered necklace completes the look with out competing with the print.  Check out the links below.
