e.l.f. HD Blush Swatches & Video: How I Apply

A trip to Target would not be complete if I don't head over to the makeup section and see if any colorful goodies catch my eye. While doing a little browsing last week I caught sight of e.l.f.'s HD blush.  I have been looking for a purple blush that doesn't break me out for ages now, so when I saw Showstopper, I knew I had to give it a try.  After grabbing Showstopper I couldn't help but admire all the other colors. I tried to pick one more to try out but after being unable to decide between Superstar and Diva, I decided to purchase them all. I figured I had nothing to loose; after all, they were $3.04 a piece and Target accepts returns with a receipt. I headed home with five new shades I couldn't wait to try.

First impressions:

  • This blush is well pigmented and has a high color payoff. Use a VERY small amount, otherwise things will go really wrong really quickly!
  • This blush must be set to make sure it doesn't transfer or fade.
  • I use the e.l.f. Studio Small Stipple Brush  to apply, and the Coastal Scents Classic Duo Fibre Buffer Brush  to blend out the product.
  • My favorite e.l.f. HD blush color so far is Diva; it's a really fun pink for springMy least favorite is Headliner. It is too light and chalky for my skin tone.
